Measuring your pet

The perfect collar is all about finding the right fit. Be sure to measure your pet, and then use the size chart to determine which size to order. There are some breeds listed to help guide you, but as all pets are unique in their own way, it is imperative that you measure before placing your order. It only takes a few seconds!

How to measure your dog: Using a tape measure or string and ruler, measure your dog’s neck where the collar usually rests. If your dog already has a collar that fits properly, you can simply measure the collar itself. A properly fitted collar should be snug but not tight, and you should be able to fit 2-3 fingers underneath. Use this same chart and method for martingale collars, as well. See all you need to know about martingales, including sizing, here.

How to measure your cat: Good luck! Make your best guess using the size chart.

*Hot Tip* Put these measurements in your phone so you always have them with you. That way you don’t have to wonder next time you go to order a new goodie for your pet or stumble upon your charming local dog collar maker at a craft show!
